Let me throw more questions here.
1. Are we going to support pre-2013-05-15 kernel with Tizen 3.0? (e.g., 3.8?)
Although Tizen Reference Kernel for Tizen 3.0 is Linux 3.10 (at least for ARM, as you can see at tizen.org, linux-3.10.git), it does not necessarily mean that EVERY vendor MUST use Linux 3.10 for Tizen 3.0.
My opinion for 1. is "Yes". (Let's not prohibit intentionally)
2. Does pre-2013-05-15 kernel support recent GStreamer? (1.x here)
I don't know this one.
If 1 == No || 2 == Yes, I think we can forget about GStreamer 0.10 in Tizen 3.0.
But there will be errors for those who keep using old kernel (Linux 3.0, Old reference kernel for RD-210/RD-PQ) for Tizen 3.0 development; Linux 3.10 for RD-210/RD-PQ is not stable. (it's like Linux 3.0 for RD-210/RD-PQ in the pre-2.0alpha stage)
However, I guess that Multimedia-FW needs to decide whether to abandon GStreamer 0.10 or not. I prefer to abandon though.
