Sounds like a worthy initiative, thanks for this Jose. For Cynara, we recently discussed idea to make such "cmdline tool" that could be used without Cynara service just to setup policies and in Security-Manager as well - a tool that will not only use the just-mentioned Cynara counterpart, but also setup the group-privilege-app DB Rafal mentioned to you earlier.

Subject: [Dev] There is no daemon during image creation

Hi all,

When creating images, MIC the image creator of tizen doesn't launch nor
run any of the useful services and daemon that are commonly used inside
tizen.

The problem is to be able to create images having pre-installed users
and applications.

There is no daemon thus no DBUS then GUMD can not be used to create
users or groups. Unless GUMD doesn't provide programs useable by MIC, we
will use the scripts useradd and userdel.

The current state is that no widget can be installed by MIC during image
creation.

That would be great that people working on components used during
installations also provide programs useable inside MIC during image
creation. These specific programs will circumvent the lake of
service/daemon to achieve their job. At the end of image creation, they
could be removed.

I'm thinking to the components of user/group management, of the
framework and of the security (cynara). What are the others?...

I'm also proposing if such components are specific to image creation:
 - to provide it in packages suffixed by -mic
 - to prefix the data and program with mic-
Do you agree?

Best regards
José Bollo
